Our story began in the Summer of 1981 after Jack Kramer’s junior year of college, when he began selling wholesale belts out of the trunk of his car and garage. During that summer, Jack went on the road with his Dad, an experienced clothing salesman to expand the business. Upon his return to college in the fall, Jack's Dad kept the business going for him. After graduation, they both continued Jackster full-time, travelling by day and packing orders at night.
In 1985 they purchased their first building, and opened a factory in Bridgeport, CT. Eleven years later, the business relocated to a larger facility in Stratford, CT where it remains today, strong and growing.
Jackster continues to be a family owned business and has become one of the leading manufacturers of web belts, suspenders, and shirt garters in the USA today.
